The Ede practise the water ritual when there is an important event in a village such as moving the village and building a new village, and it is performed annually on new year with the aims of praying the Water God for clean water, and on this occasion, the villagers clean up the water wharf. The water ritual lasting for three days led to hold by the water wharf head.

On September 24th, Dak Lak Provincial Museum held to restore the Spirit ritual before cutting down trees of the Ede ethnic people.

In the afternoon on June 20th, Culture Center of Dak Lak held the training-class ending ceremony of gongs and ethnic musical instruments in 2018.

On the fieldwork trip about the Central Highlands Epic in Dak Lak, the mission group of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi National University coordinated with Academy of Culture led by Pro.PhD. Nguyen Van Kim, Party Committee Secretary, Vice Principal of University of Social Sciences and Humanities visited and shared experiences with Dak Lak Museum.

To supplement information resource for the Jars being preserved in Dak Lak Museum, this Museum implemented to collect and research information and published a printing titled “Jars in the Ede’s life in Dak Lak”. The implementation is divided into two periods.

Vietnamese Institute of Musicology in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak, on 10th April at the Dak Lak Museum, organized a scientific workshop entitled "Preservation of traditional musical heritage of ethnic peoples in the Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands - Policies and Practice".

On March 10th, at Ako Dhong (Buon Ma Thuot City), People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City held the final of the 10th Festival of Culture and Sports of the Ethnic People in Buon Ma Thuot City, 2018.

Festival of Culture and Sports of ethnic minorities in Buon Ma Thuot city is opening in association with traditional customs and culture of the ethnic minorities in the city. The festival is organized with the participation of villages, hamlets, residential quarters and ethnic minority groups in the locality with the spirit of excitement and unity. The activities will be prepared carefully with the rich contents and diversified forms.
