Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the traditional holidays of Vietnam expected by most of people especially children. Children on this day are often given by adults toys such as various lanterns, water guns, masks and moon cakes, etc. However, for the disadvantaged children, they don’t have condition to enjoy a fulfilled Mid-Autumn Festival as the other children. The worry about living burdens their childhood.

On the August 17th afternoon, officers of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Museum including Mr. Nguyen Quyet Chien, Deputy Director, Heads and Deputies of Divisions and professional staffs led by Mr. Doan Long An, head of monument value promoting department, chairman of the Trade Union visited and worked at Dak Lak Provincial Museum.

After two days of enthusiastic competition with the exchanging and solidarity spirit, the First Sports Festival of Emulation Block of Non-Productive Units under Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism 2018 officially closed on the August 15th afternoon at Competition House of Dak Lak.

In the afternoon on July 27th, 2018, Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to commemorate the 71th anniversary of the wounded soldiers and martyrs. Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, Deputy Director of the Department - Chairman of Trade Union of Dak Lak Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Le Man, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Dak Lak Department of Culture and Sports, representatives of departments and units under the Department together with cadres, civil servants and laborers being wounded soldiers, diseased soldiers, and their children and relatives in the entire industry.

In the morning of 20th July, 2018, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to summarize the work of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the first 6 months, deploying tasks in the last 6 months of 2018. Attendants at the meeting were leaders of departments and industries of the emulation sector No.6, some units in coordination with the industry, leaders of Divisions of Culture and Information, Center of Culture and Information of districts, town and city, leaders of specialized divisions and non-productive units under the Department.

In the afternoon of July 9th, 2018, Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to celebrate the 58th anniversary of foundation of Vietnam Tourism Industry (July 9th, 1960 - July 09th, 2018). Attending the meeting were Mr. Dang Gia Duan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of the divisions and units under the Department and representatives of tourism travel agencies in the province.

During June in 2018, Dak Lak Provincial Museum received approximately 4,000 visitors. In addition to the permanent exhibitions History, Peoples, Biodiversity and Electric Model of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the visitors were given information about the temporary exhibitions titled “the Central Highlands in 1950s” and “Historic Sketches” (reproduction).

To carry out effectively the Preservation of objects in museums, traditional houses and historic monuments, Dak Lak Museum, July 9th – 13th, is holding a training class “Preservation of paper objects”. The participants in the class will be MA. Nguyen Thi Huong Thom, Head of Preservation Department of Vietnamese National Museum of History, who has lots of experience in Preservation.
