Recently, the specialized library of Dak Lak Museum has been innovated with effective methods, thereby attracting readers who are domestic and international students and researchers.

Preservation of artifacts is identified as an important work. For many years now, Dak Lak Museum has always been interested in equipment investing, building and basically renovating the storage system to control the environment in accordance with technical requirements and suitable for each specifical material.

On the occasion of International Museum Day on May 18th, 2023, the Cultural Heritage Department issued Official Letter No.297 /DSVH-QLBT&DSTL on orientation activities to celebrate International Museum Day 2023 for museums in the. Vietnam’s museum system.

On February 28th, 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism issued Decision No.425/QD-BVHTTDL on modifying the names of relics in Article 1 of Decision No. 02/1999-QD-BVHTT dated on January 26th, 1999 of the Ministry of Culture and Information (the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism at present) , which is about ranking national monuments.

In the orientation of activities, Dak Lak Provincial Museum always pay attention to carry out research, collection, preservation and promotion of the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, bringing traditional musical instruments to become a continuous activity at the Dak Lak Provincial Museum. This is a very natural way for visitors to immerse themselves in the Central Highlands music scene.

To preserve the Ede’s particular culture, on October 13rd, Dak Lak Museum in coordination with the family of Mr. Y’Wut Mlo and Mrs. H’Yuoh Nie in Tai village, Krong Jing, M’drak held to restore the Ede’s New Jar Ritual.

On October 12th morning, at Dak Lak Museum, People's Committee of Dak Lak organized a seminar "Promoting values of the relic Buon Ma Thuot Penitentiary/Prison, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Provincial Committee Member, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Dak Lak and Assoc. Prof. PhD. Pham Mai Hung - Vice Chairman of Vietnam History Science Association presided over the seminar.

In the morning on September 1st, at Dak Lak Provincial Museum, the practical program " Musical Exchange" is organized with the participants and performance of the Ede artisans from Ako Dhong village and the Tay artisians from Cu Ewi in Cu Kui.
