Result of serving visitors of Dak Lak Provincial Museum in June

During June in 2018, Dak Lak Provincial Museum received approximately 4,000 visitors. In addition to the permanent exhibitions History, Peoples, Biodiversity and Electric Model of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the visitors were given information about the temporary exhibitions titled “the Central Highlands in 1950s” and “Historic Sketches” (reproduction).

Dak Lak Provincial Museum also held Children’s Day 2018 titled “Children and Nature” drawing over 200 children in Buon Ma Thuot City. On this day, the children were divided into teams to participate in folk games (bamboo dancing, tugging of war, blind-drum-playing, etc.), and they had chances to visit the exhibitions of the Museum, experience in making musical instruments, watch the Ede’s performance of the instruments and joining in the instruments guessing game. These activities gave the children opportunities to exchange, study, play and together develop their aptitude for fields. In addition, Dak Lak Provincial Museum launched a movement of planting and cleaning the area around the campus of Dak Lak Provincial Museum to respond World Environment Day 2018. Especially in June, Dak Lak Provincial Museum welcomed and worked with the delegation of Quang Nam Museum led by Mr. Nguyen Nay, Director of the Museum visiting, studying and exchanging experience at Dak Lak Provincial Museum, the delegation of Sekong Province of Laos led by Mr. Kham-Phieu-Bua La-Pha, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Committee and Chairman of Laos – Vietnam Friendship Association of Sekong, and the delegation of Central Highlands Institute of Social Science to collect necessary information within the framework of the project "Investigation of ancient bibliography and fieldwork materials of the Kingdom of Thuy Xa - Hoa Xa, using for the compilation of Vietnamese history during between the 15th and the 19th century" led by Dr. Nguyen Duy Thuy, Member of Central Theoretical Council and Director of Central Highlands Institute of Social Science. In the second half of the year, Dak Lak Provincial Museum will build many practical programs to meet the needs of visiting and enjoying culture of domestic and foreign tourists, at the same time, creates a space for them to discover and interact directly with the culture stakeholders, from which to understand more about life and people of Dak Lak.
