Exhibition “Our culture: Tradition and Change” in the opening ceremony of the Youth Volunteer Campaign in summer 2018

On the morning of June 8th, at the Medical College of Dak Lak, the Youth Union Block of agencies organized an opening ceremony of the 2018 Youth Volunteer Campaign with the theme "Dak Lak Youth are creative and join-hand to build new rural and urban civilization".

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Dinh Que, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoang, Deputy Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union, Mr. Vo Minh Quan, Deputy Director of Fund for Forest Protection and Development of Dak Lak and other members of the Steering Committee of the campaign together with members of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union Block. There were also participants who are Secretary, Deputy Secretary of 60 junior Youth Unions and more than 500 Youth Union members and Youth volunteers of seven campaign teams. The Youth Volunteer Campaign of the Youth Union Block lasting from June to August 2018 will carry out activities towards grassroots such as building five youth constructions at the block level, organizing three periods of medical check and free medicine provision, giving scholarships to poor well-studied students, offering gifts to the families in preferential treatment policy and poor families, cooking charity rice, propagating traffic safety, preventing epidemic diseases, cleaning environment, organizing to shoot films, showing three-night performances of art and literature to propagate revolutionary songs and traffic safety, and giving voluntary blood donation. During the opening ceremony of the Youth Volunteer Campaign, Dak Lak Provincial Museum displayed the exhibition "Our Culture: Tradition and Change". The exhibition introduces the photos of the Ede from Ea Sar village (Ea Kar) and Tring village (Buon Ho town) taken by themselves and narrated about their communities. Through these photos, visitors can feel the pride, confidence, activeness of the villagers when they share their culture. The exhibition once again affirms its our cultural pride as an important condition for the preservation and development of culture. In addition, the Campaign the program organized Traffic Safety Training, cooked and donated 400 charity rice dishes for to the patients under treatment at General Hospital of Dak Lak province, held a bike march to carry out environmental propaganda on the route from Medical College of Dak Lak to Km3 and vice versa and planted trees at the Tay Nguyen Institute of Agro-forestry Technology and Science. These activities are meaningful, expressing the role of youth volunteerism, creating a strong response in the movement "Dak Lak Youth are creative and join-hand to build new rural and urban civilization". The Youth Volunteer Campaign of summer 2018 promises to create a wide spread of the volunteer movement at grassroots level, expands the front of unity, gathers the youth and improves gradually the quality of the Youth Union members, creates an environment for the Youth Union members to build up ideas and spends practical experiences, continues training in all aspects, dedicates and grows together to contribute to build country becoming more civilized and richer.
