Dak Lak Museum is holding a training class “Preservation of paper objects”

To carry out effectively the Preservation of objects in museums, traditional houses and historic monuments, Dak Lak Museum, July 9th – 13th, is holding a training class “Preservation of paper objects”. The participants in the class will be MA. Nguyen Thi Huong Thom, Head of Preservation Department of Vietnamese National Museum of History, who has lots of experience in Preservation.

Joining in the class, the participants will be equipped with knowledge of the composition, properties of the objects, harmful agents and precautionary methods of preserving the objects. The class aims to find solutions to preserve for longer works, materials and objects in general and paper materials in particular. In addition, the training class is also an opportunity to improve the professional skills for the conservation staff of Dak Lak Provincial Museum as well as the participants in the training class. At the same time, the participants have chances to get accessed to modern techniques in preserving and repairing the paper materials and promote preserving and repairing of the objects in the museums.
