The festival was attended by 23 agencies, which were selected from the contests in Group 1 and Group 2, in the villages in Buon Ma Thuot City. The agencies participating in the competition of four cultural subjects including gong performance, folk art, fast rice pounding contest, traditional food and three sports subjects including stick-pushing, walk on stilts, tug of war. Besides the above contents, typical products of basketry and fabric weaving made before the competitions by the participating teams are also displayed at the festival. After a day of exciting competition, the results in 04 cultural competitions were that the gong team of Ko Sier village (Tan Lap ward) won the first prize in the gong performance, Buon Ju (Ea Tu commune) won first prize in the Folk Art and Literature Competition; In fast rice pounding, the first prize belonged to Cao Thang village (Ea Kao commune); The team in village 3 in Hoa Thang commune won the first prize in the traditional food competition; For the athletic competition, Buon Tuor (Hoa Phu commune) won the first prize in the stick-pushing competition at the 55-60 kilos weight classes and over 60kg; Buon Tang Ju (Ea Kao commune) won the first prize in the weight class of under 55 kilos; for the men’s stick-pushing, the first prize of the two weight classes under 60 kilos and 60-65 kilos belonged to Buon Tuor (Hoa Phu commune); Buon Ky (Thanh Nhat) won the first prize in the weight class of 65-70 kilos and Buon Ko Tam (Ea Tu commune) won the first prize of 70 kilos; In the tug of war, Tang Ju village (Ea Kao commune) won the first prize in the women's tug of war and Buon Buor (Hoa Xuan commune) won the first prize in the men’s tug of war. This event, held every two years to preserve and promote values of traditional culture, creates a joyful atmosphere for ethnic people. At the same time, cultural and sport activities in the event are to consolidate and build solidarity and association of the community, strengthen the relationship between villages and townships, and promote the movement of labor and production, which improves material and spiritual life of the ethnic people.
