The Provincial Association of Mother Goddessess in Dak Lak celebrated the honoring ceremony to the God Tran Hung Dao
"August is the father’s death anniversary, March is the mother’s death anniversary" that are familiar words of any Vietnamese people living in the homeland or in the foreign land.
Beginning of the lunar August, especially from the fifteenth day of the lunar month to the 20th of August, temples worshiping the Mother Goddesses and the Duc Thanh Tran celebrate death anniversary and festivities towards the main shrines such as Kiep Bac (Hai Duong), Phu Giay (Nam Dinh). In Buon Ma Thuot city, on the morning of August 28th, 2018 (on the lunar August 19th), The Provincial Association of Mother Goddessess in Dak Lak celebrated the honoring ceremony to the God Tran Hung Dao. The hau dong-medium is a major ritual associated with the worship of Mother Goddess and the Four Palace Religion. The hau dong is origined from the nothern delta. The perriod of this ritual has been unclear, but it was the most popular in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The hau dong is not only a folk religious belief but also a kind of traditional art attractive and particular thanks to combination of the elements of costumes, music, lyrics and performance. In the modern society, the hau dong still remains its aesthetic and human values when it is put in sound development. It is also a particularly cultural indetity of Vietnamese in Dak Lak.
