Dak Lak Museum held a meeting to give comments on the photo book titled "Jars in the Ede’s living in Dak Lak"
In the framework of supplementing information and content for the photo book published in the coming time, on October 16th, Dak Lak Museum held a meeting to give comments on the photo book titled "Jars in the Ede’s living in Dak Lak”.
Participating in the meeting were representatives of Provincial Propaganda Committee, Provincial Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs, Division of Cultural Heritage Management and Division of Culture Management under Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak; the cultural researcher cum the musician - Linh Nga Nie Kdam, Ph.D. Tuyet Nhung Buon Krong; the artisan Y Bhiông Niê (Ama Loan) and the jar collector - Man Phong Son together with Director Board, Heads and Deputy Heads of divisions and Science Council of Dak Lak Museum. The delegates at the meeting highly appreciated preparation as well as setting up ideas of publishing the photo book on the jars of Dak Lak Museum. At the same time, the delegates suggested changing the name of the publication according to its content, adding information and arranging the layout of the articles in an order structure following name, size, location and time of collection, etc, considering to add pictures of jars in community activities and pictures collected from the fieldworks of Dak Lak Museum. Closing the meeting, Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu, Director of Dak Lak Museum, received the comments of the delegates and agreed to rename the photo book "Collection of the Ede’s Jars at Dak Lak Museum” and will adjust and add comments to improve the publication. The publication "Collection of the Ede’s jars of Dak Lak Museum” will be a valuable resource for readers to understand more about a long-tradition culture including quintessence filted during length of history, manifested by customs, rituals, festivals, beliefs related to the Jars. From then, It raises people’s awareness, of contributing to presere and promote advanced culture bearing the national identity of Vietnam in general and the Ede in particular.
