Dak Lak is a joint roof of 49 ethnic groups residing together. Coming from all regions of the country, each ethnic group has their own nuance that has created a uniquely unified picture of Dak Lak's colorful culture. Along with the language, writing, the traditional costume of ethnic groups is a sign of ethnic identity, a cultural heritage imbued with national identity, containing artistic and historical values, existing and developing through the process of work and creativity.

The temporary exhibition “Traditional costumes of the peoples in Dak Lak” gathering 45 images and 130 artifacts, aims to introduce, honor and spreading the unique features of culture and life of ethnic communities living in Dak Lak. Combined with the display are fascinatingly experiential activities that enable visitors to get more understanding about a process of the Ede’s weaving and making decoration carried out by artisans from Tong Bong Weaving Cooperative, Buon Ma Thuot city, cooking together with the artisans and enjoying some traditional dishes of the Ede.

Temporary exhibition “Traditional costumes of peoples in Dak Lak" is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 48^th anniversary of the Buon Ma Thuot Victory, liberating Dak Lak province (March 10^th, 1975 - March 10^th, 2023), and respond to the 8^th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, contributing to introduce, honor and spread the traditionally cultural and aesthetic values of the Vietnamese community in general and the peoples in Dak Lak in particular. At the same time, it aims to propagate and improve the roles and responsibilities of the community and the young generation in preserving and promoting their value of traditional costumes, contributing to the enrichment and diversity of culture of the Vietnamese great family, creating a premise for building a richer and stronger homeland.
