Opening a training course “Supplemetary professional knowledge and knowledge of management, protection and promotion of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage”

On July 18th, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism opens a training course “Supplemetary professional knowledge and knowledge of management, protection and promotion of Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh province

Attending the opening were Dr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of Training Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Mr. Truong Dong Hai, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh Province, Assoc.Prof. Tran Lam Bien - Researcher of Cultural Heritage; Representatives from the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Culture, officers working in museums, relics management in provinces, lectures and teacher teaching in the fields of museums, cultural heritages and cultural management of the institutions of culture and art, social sciences and humanities at the intermediate levels of college, university and postgraduate in the whole country. The training course takes place from July 18th to 21st July, the trainees have chance to hear, exchange and discuss topics such as traditional architecture of flat and vertical sides, arrangment on the altar and decoration of the monuments, system of legal documents on management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage values, solutions to ultilize human resources for the activities of protecting and promoting the cultural heritage, solutions to using human resources in the field of cultural heritage, conservation of cultural heritage with socio-economic development, new museum approach to improve displaying effectiveness os museums in Vietnam, museums and the public to build strategies of marketing and building the museum brand, inventory work and documentation of community-based intangible cultural heritages, application of international methods and skills to practice in Vietnam. In addition, the trainees have a fieldwork in some relics, museums and the practice of intangible cultural heritage of Binh Dinh province. The training course aims to supplement professional knowledge and improve skills for the staff of lectures, teachers, civil servants and officials working in the field of management of monuments, intangible cultural heritages and museums. At the same time, it provides opportunities for the officers who are directly in charge of management of cultural heritage and the training institutions, organizations and individuals working in the fileds related to protection and promotion of cultural heritage values such as economics, tourism and environment. It contributes to innovate and improve the training quality of the majors in the field of cultural heritage and training to meet the society’s need.
