Opening a Seminar - Training "Improving skills for human resources who directly carry out inventory, collection, conservation, exhibition and propagation of traditional cultural heritages of the Vietnamese ethnic peoples"

On May 7th morning, at Dakruco Hotel, Department of Cultural Heritage presided, in collaboration with Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold a Seminar - Training "Improving skills for human resources who directly carry out inventory, collection, conservation, exhibition and propagation of traditional cultural heritages of the Vietnamese ethnic peoples" (Central Vietnam and Central Highlands).

Attending the seminar were Mr. Pham Dinh Phong - Deputy Director of Department of Cultural Heritage, Mr. Dang Gia Duan - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Y Won Buon Krong - Deputy Head of Dak Lak Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs, the experts in the field of preservation of cultural heritage and nearly 200 participants who are representatives of museums, Management Board of Relics, Division of Cultural Heritage Management under Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, special officers of cultural heritage of Office of Culture and Information at district level; organizations and individuals involved in the inventory, collection, preservation, exhibition and introduction of the typical cultural heritage typical of the ethnic people in Vietnam. The seminar and training focuse on discussing issues such as studying the Vietnam ethnic people; skills in researching, collecting and introducing ethnic cultural heritage; Intangible cultural heritage - identification and safeguard measures; inventory of community-based intangible cultural heritage, from theory to implementation; skills in inventory and scientific record to rank the typical relics of the Vietnam ethnic people. In addition that the participants had chances to have fied-trips in some regions in Dak Lak. The seminar is an opportunity for the participants to meet and share experiences in the inventory, collection, preservation, exhibition and introduction of cultural heritage of the ethnic people. It aims to contribute preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage in Vietnam in the future. The seminar - training lasts for three days, between May 7th to may 9th 2018
