Exhibition of Lung Cu Flag Tower at Dak Lak Provincial Museum

Lung Cu Flag Tower is a monument on the Rong Mountain in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province located on the northernmost point in Vietnam coordinating 23021’75” north latitude and 105018’97” east longitude at 1,468.73 meters above sea level. On the top of the Flag Tower is the Vietnamese Flag that is 54 meters square in width, representing 54 ethic peoples.

The sacred red flag with a gold star flies on Lung Cu peak is a pride and an evidence of the sacred mountains and rivers of the country. Each flag, after being faded or torn due to the weather, the flag information is recorded with codes and date of raising and lowering and then it is folded to be preserved solemnly. It is offered as a gift to the important guest delegations visiting Lung Cu. The flag No. 233, raised on November 12th, 2016 and lowered on November 15th, 2016, is a spiritually significant gift, a memorial of the Fatherland conveyed at night by the border-guarding soldiers of Lung Cu to Ha Giang city. The leader of Ha Giang offered it to the Dak Lak delegation on the trip to take part in the Second National Cultural Festival of the Mong on November 17th 2016. Dak Lak Provincial Museum received the Flag No.233 that is being displayed solemnly in the temporary exhibition of Dak Lak Provincial Museum
