Dak Lak Provincial Museum will hold a temporary exhibition "the Laos – Vietnam time-honored friendship" and "Two sisters - Two front lines"

On the 56th anniversary of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relation (September 5th 1962 – September 5th 2018) and the Vietnamese Women's Day on 20th, 2018, Dak Lak Provincial Museum, during August 30th and October 30th, is opening to serve visitors the temporary exhibition titled "Laos - Vietnam time – honored friendship" and "Two sisters - Two front lines". Documents and pictures for the exhibition was provided by Vietnam Museum of Women and some pictures collected by Dak Lak Provincial Museum during meetings and exchanges between Dak Lak and Se Kong.

The exhibition "Laos - Vietnam time-honored friendship" consists of 112 photographs, 3 texts/ quotes designed on 30 forms (80cmx120cm), introducing special works about the traditional friendship and solidarity and the comprehensive cooperation between the Party, State, Government and Peoples of Viet Nam and Laos. This relationship founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and it is concerned to build by leaders of the Party, State and people. Especially, the exhibition also introduces lively images highlight the solidarity and loyal sentiment to have mutual help for progress and mature through the activities of friendship, cooperation, experience exchanging and sharing of women in the two countries in general. The exhibition also introduces the pictures of cooperation and friendship between some localities of Laos and Dak Lak of Vietnam. The exhibition "Two Sisters - Two front lines" includes 59 photographs and 27 texts narrated through memory of the witnesses of history. It is designed on 32 forms (80cmx120cm) to recreate the fighting and working life of women in the war. Through the photographs at the exhibition, the viewers can feel moments of joyfulness, sadness, loss, sacrifice, and resilience of the young ladies and women with gray hair in the two regions of the nation in the anti-American resistance, and the role and the heroically indomitable and benevolent will of the Vietnamese women is affirmed. They not only encouraged husbands and children to go to the war but also directly participated in combats and they kept their responsibility for the rear, took care of their elderly parents and educated their children. The exhibition introduces widely to the younger generations the fine tradition and the great sacrifice Vietnamese women.
