Call upon for donation of documents and objects for Dak Lak Museum

Recognizing importance and deep meaning of adding and enriching documents, objects and photos for research and exhibition at Dak Lak Museum towards building Dak Lak Museum to become the Central Highlands Museum in 2025.

Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak has encouraged organizations and individuals to donate documents, objects, photos of their own for the Museum to manage and use them. List of documents and objects that need to be collected and donated to Dak Lak Museum, including: Historical documents and objects are those related to the subsidization period, from 1976 to 1986, such as coupons of goods, purchase books and ordinary items such as cupboard, bowl, pot, thermos, electric fans, radio, clock, charcoal irons, mill, hoe, etc; documents related to the two resistances against French colonism and American imperalism; letters written during the war and war souvenirs, etc; special documents and objects in the renovation period of the country; and souvenirs of the old veterans and historical witnesses. Documents and objects associated with history of formation and development of Dak Lak and the sectors of Education - Training, Health, Social Culture, Security and Defense, Post and Telecommunications. Documents and objects related to peoples include items used in daily activities and in rituals of the ethnic people (Ede, Mnong, Gia rai) and the ethnic immigrant people (Xo Dang, Bru - Van kieu, Tay, Nung, Dao, Thai, Mong, etc), and so on. Documents and objects related to Biodiversity include typical species of animals and plants of Dak Lak. The reception is divided into three stages, as followed: Stage 1 (November 18th): On the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage of Peoples (November 23rd), Day of Buon Ma Thuot formation and development (22nd November). Stage 2 (March 2019): On the occasion of Buon Ma Thuot Victory (March 10th), celebration of the 7th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2019, the National People's Defense (3rd March). Stage 3 (September 2019): On the occasion of successful August Revolution and National Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2nd), the Foundation Day of Culture and Information Industry (28th August), Foundation Day of Dak Lak Museum (September 2nd). Souvenirs, relics and historical documents, objects related to peoples and biodiversity collected will contribute significantly to studying, preservation and promotion of values of cultural identity of Dak Lak Museum. This is an important work expressing affection and responsibility of present generation for ascendant and descendant generations.
